• The maximum number of results returned for externals is 10.
• Coming via the main search page (search.monash.edu.au), the user is presented with 3 fields - first name, last name and department.
• The start of a first name or any part of a surname or department can be searched on from this front page.
• Results are sorted by last name. From within Monash, the maximum number of results returned is 2000 (MDS limit) externally only the first 10 will be displayed.
• From within Monash only, once an initial search has been performed subsequent screens have an advanced search option. This allows for searching by phone number, location (eg campus), organisational unit or approximate name matching.
• Photographs aren't shown with this search, pictures of some staff can be found in departmental web pages or via the Address Book.
