PDA synchronisation with Lotus Notes
System and software requirements for EasySync Pro v4.2.5
System requirements:
- Microsoft Windows Vista/2000 SP4/XP SP1
- IBM PC compatible computer, Pentium or higher
- 80 MB free hard disk space
- Mobile device with appropriate connectivity
Software requirements
For Pocket PC devices:
- Microsoft Pocket PC 2000/2002/2003
For SmartPhones/Treo 700w:
- Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0/6
For Palm III series/V series/VII series/M series, i705, Zire 21/31/71/72:
Before you begin
ActiveSync Configuration
- Run Microsoft ActiveSync.
- Connect your PDA device to your computer and wait until the Connected. Synchronized message appears.

- From the Tools menu:

- Select Ok if the above message appears.

- On the Options screen:
- Ensure all boxes are unchecked
- Select Ok
Installing EasySync Pro v4.2.5
Before you begin
- Run EasySync Pro v4.2.5 software.
- Select Next to continue.
- Select "I accept the terms in the licence agreement".
- Select Next to continue.

- Select Palm OS Devices, Pocket PC Devices and/or Microsoft Smartphone Mobile 5.0 from the list .
- Select Next to continue.
- Select Install and wait while the installation completes.
- Select Finish.
Synchronising your PDA with Lotus Notes
Changing your notes.ini setting
- Select IBM Lotus Easy Sync Pro on your desktop.

- Select Notes.
- Select Configure.

- Select Browse.

- Navigate to: Documents and Settings\{your username}\Local Settings\Application Data\Lotus\Notes\Data\notes.ini.
- Select Open.
- Select Ok to save these settings.
- Close EasySync Pro.
Synchronising your PDA
- Restart EasySync Pro.

- From the Profile menu:
- Select Current Profile Settings.

- From the Filters tab:
- Select Calendar.
- Select Field Content from the Filter Type dropdown list.
- Select the Date tab.
- Select All Records.

- Set the desired date range. This will speed up the synchronisation process.
- Select Add.
- Select Ok to save these settings.

- Select which items to synchronise from the Available Items list.
- Select Synchronize. The initial process can take over an hour if everything is selected. Subsequent synchronisations will take 5-20 minutes.

- Once the synchronisation has been completed, select Close.
Note: Email is the slowest component to synchronise.
