Returning Lease AssetsReturning leased assets Procedures for the return of leased equipment upon expiry of leaseEquipment leased under the IT leasing facility must be returned to Macquarie IT at the end of the nominated lease period. The University has deemed that there is no option to buy out the residual value of the equipment and assume ownership. The rationale for this policy is to ensure that we maintain an up-to-date fleet of equipment that is in line with current technology. Macquarie IT notify Procurement Services each month of leased assets that are due for return 3-month's in advance. Procurement Services has negotiated a contract with a third party (Paragon Systems) to carry out the decommissioning, packaging, pick-up and return of leased equipment back to Macquarie IT upon reaching the end of the lease term. Paragon Systems have set up an on-line procedure that will enable you to log a request for pick-up of equipment via the Internet. Please note, photocopiers are notified for return via this system but picked up by Macquarie IT.
First time users: To gain access and a password to the Paragon EOL database please contact Teresa Pearce (ITS Division) on x56303 or email - teresa.pearce@its.monash.edu.au Please note it is the responsibility of individual Cost Centres to ensure that equipment is returned to Macquarie IT by the due date. Late returns and damaged equipment may incur additional charges. |
