Changing from IMAP to IMAPS in Microsoft Outlook Express

This document will guide you through changing your IMAP settings in your Microsoft Outlook Express mail account to use secure IMAP (IMAPS). Please see the main guides page for a list of other categories.

  1. Open Outlook Express and go to Tools -> Accounts
  2. Select your Monash account and go to Properties.
  3. Select the Advanced tab.
  4. Check the This server requires a secure connection (SSL) box.
  5. Press Apply
    SSL box checked.
