How do I set up my Monash Mail Account in Microsoft Outlook using IMAP?
This document will guide you through the Microsoft Outlook account configuration to access your Monash Mail account using IMAP. Please see the main guides page for a

Creating a new Monash Mail profile
- Open Microsoft Outlook and go to Tools > Email Accounts
- Select Add a new e-mail account and press Next.
- Select IMAP and press Next.
In the Internet E-mail Settings (IMAP) window:
- Under User Information enter the following:
- Your name as you would like it to appear on outgoing mail.
- Your Monash staff email address.
- Under Server Information enter the following:
- Incoming mail server (IMAP): as mail.monash.edu.au.
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): as smtp.monash.edu.au.
Note: This setting will work correctly for users sending mail from a Monash campus. Users of external ISPs have the option to use their ISP's SMTP server, or they may use the Monash

- Under Login Information enter the following:
- User Name: as your staff AuthCate username.
- Password: as your staff AuthCate password.
- Press More Settings
- On the General tab:
- Enter the Mail Account name as Monash Mail Account.
- Enter the Organisation as Monash University.
- Click the Outgoing Server tab. Select the following:
- Click the Advanced tab. Select the following and press OK
- Press Next, then press Finish.
