Changing from IMAP to IMAPS in Mozilla Mail and Netscape 7.x

This document will guide you through changing your IMAP settings in your Mozilla Mail and Netscape 7.x mail account to use secure IMAP (IMAPS). Please see the main guides page for a list of other categories.
  1. Open Mail or Netscape and go to Edit > Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings
  2. Select your Monash account and select Server Settings
  3. Check the Use Secure connection (SSL) box. This should change the port to 993.
    Note: Do not select TLS if this option is available.
  4. Click OK
    5. SSL box highlighted, check this box.
